PRP therapy for hair loss is a treatment involves withdrawing a patient's own blood, processing it so that the enriched platelets(platelet-rich plasma) remain, injecting it into the scalp, and combining it with microneedling. The micro wounds from microneedling will accelerate collagen production that is boosted by the PRP, resulting in hair growth. Due to the natural variation in quality of platelet-rich plasma, results will vary between individuals. Patients typically require multiple sessions to obtain desired outcomes.
Each procedure takes approximately 75 minutes and includes the process for your SkinReMEDI Aesthetic Injector to draw the blood and spin the PRP in acentrifuge. Each hair restoration procedure is performed by a licensed medical professional and aesthetic injector who will administer a small amount of lidocaine (numbing agent) to your PRP to minimize any discomfort.
A series of 3-6 treatments is recommended for optimal results. The first 3 treatments will be scheduled monthly and any treatments after will be spaced 2-3 months a part.
