Ashley Trowell, MD

Dr. Ashley Trowell is Board Certified in Family Medicine, in addition to being a loving wife to her husband, Dr. Heath Trowell, and mother to their two sons, Kaleb and Kohen. Dr. Ashley (as she prefers to be called) is a native of Acworth, GA, graduating from McEachern High School. While in college at UGA, she found herself drawn to medicine, volunteering with local community health departments, as well as hospitals in the Athens area. In her last year of college, Dr. Ashley landed a job working for a dermatologist that was dabbling in new injectable treatments for anti-aging and skin rejuvenation, which sparked her interest in this aspect of healthcare. After graduating from UGA, she went on to attend the American University of the Caribbean, and as a medical student was given the opportunity to travel to Europe, having been awarded a research opportunity based on a paper she wrote regarding the buccal fat pad. This research paper was published in several medical journals and plays a large role in how we train on new injectable services today! Dr. Ashley trained in high volume, competitive hospitals in both Los Angeles and New York City, after which she and her husband decided to return to their southern roots and start a family. After completing a Transitional Year Residency Program at Columbus Medical Center and the Family Medicine Residency Program at University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, she and her husband settled into their life back in Acworth.

With the slogan “The practice that cares for you inside and out.” Dr. Ashley maintains an esthetics and medical concierge practice in Acworth, in addition to overseeing medical procedures at the Skin ReMEDI location in the Morningside neighborhood of Atlanta.
