Maria is an Atlanta, Georgia native and a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, where she received a BS in Nursing in 1999. While earning her under graduate degree, Maria worked as a medical technician at the Shepherd Center specializing in acute care spinal cord rehabilitation.
Maria went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Georgia State University in 2005. She began her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner, during her work at the Shepherd Center. She later received an opportunity to move to Oakland, California, where she practiced at Stanford University in the ICU, then went onto join Clinica la Luna y el Sol. During Maria’s tenure with Clinica la Luna she worked in an outpatient setting serving a Latino population, increasing her proficiency in Spanish.
Maria now lives in Decatur, GA with her family, and is excited to have joined theSkinReMEDI team in Morningside!
Maria brings over 16 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and has been practicing aesthetics and injectables since SkinReMEDI’s opening in 2018. She continues to dedicate time to trainings throughout the year to advance her techniques and offer her patients the highest quality care and lead trainings for Aesthetic Injectors joining the SkinReMEDI team.
Maria offers a variety of the treatments available at SkinReMEDI by Natural Body Spa including: Botox, Dysport, fillers, RF Microneedling, PRP treatments, Laser Resurfacing, IPL Photofacials, Vein Removal, and more.
